A Comparison of Chuang Tzu's Ideas of Life and Death with those of Essay

A Comparison of Chuang Tzus Ideas of Life and Death with those of Socrates - Essay ExampleYou-Sheng revisited the Chuang Tzus argument that through the inaction of heaven, which is purity and that of the earth, which is space, things are brought to innovation and are transformed mysteriously (You-Sheng, 2005, p. 14). He went further to explain that it is through this inaction that the living things have the mercy to grow and develop. One is born by chance, but once alive, death is imminent. Therefore, the essay is a comparison of Chuang Tzu ideas of life and death with those of Socrates. Chuang Tzu Ideas of Life and Death Watson examined Chuang Tzus basic writings to outline his ideas almost life and death. He argues that during old age, the mind comes closer to death and probably nothing could restore the life to light (Watson, 1996, p. 32). Signifi dopetly, this comes as an automatic consequence of ageing therefore no unmatched should be afraid of death. As a result, the people are in constant struggle and worry during their life, because they have to action for their daily bread, and think that at one time, the life would be terminated (Watson, 1996, p. 32). Life and death, according to Tzu are fated and bound to happen (Watson, 1996, p. 76). In this regard, he equates their relationship to the succession between dark and down, through compulsion. As the dark nears its end, a new dawn succeeds it, meaning that as life nears its end, death dawns (Watson, 1996, p. 76). ... 77). In essence, he attributes death to a means of change, and since everything is constantly changing, no one has the capability of preventing the change from changing. Therefore, we should accept the facts related to change, and welcome it when it reaches, and there would not be anything to fear about death. Moreover, according to his conviction, in the beginning and end, early death, old age, and at all levels of human development, he/she should be delightful (Watson, 1996, p. 77). Ap parently, the belief makes us believe that life that life and death are equal, not any important than the other (You-Sheng, 2005, p. 37). As well, the argument suggests that the people should be aware that at one moment, perhaps after birth, he/she is bound to die, through whichever means. Therefore, he attributed death to an automatic exit from the known world to unknown world, where only Tao has secure knowledge about (You-Sheng, 2005, p. 39). Drawing from the Masters agreement, he argues that this is something that one should believe (Watson, 1996, p. 80). This is justified from his acknowledgement that non-being is actually someones head, life is someones back and death is someones rump. In another controversial question, he wanted to know whether life and death are all one body (Watson, 1996, p. 80). In reality, there is a common belief that once a person is dead, the aspects of life cease to manifest on the body. The body becomes helpless, lifeless and useless to perform any function. Therefore, life and death, despite being very far apart from one another, are simply one. For instance, life results to death and they can never manifest together, each does distinctively. He also put

Read instruction - Essay ExampleThe Baroque architects, gardeners and artists including the chief designer Louis Le Vau and the artist Charles Le Brun undertook a responsible mission in order to erect a palace suitable and grand enough to host the whole royal family and the large court (EAH). One of the most rare fragments of Versailles is the Hall of Mirrors built and decorated under the king Louis XIV in the period when absolutism was on its peak. The 73-meters-long gallery was created with intention to glorify the victory of France in the war and symbolize political, economic and cultural success of France (en.chateauversailles.fr). Marble, gilding, mirrors, crystal chandeliers and lavish decoration tell the spectator of the glory and prestige of the French court. The political achievements were represent by Le Brun on the arches of the gallery referring to ancient allegories. The economic power of the country was transparently stated through the number of mirrors located in so cial movement of each window of the gallery and thus making the hall even more spacious. The key idea of such lavish mirror use was to give the production potential of France in mirror-making (mirrors were the objects of luxury at that time). Moreover, the Hall of Mirrors adorned with splendid Baroque paintings alluding to ancient mythology and marble sculptures of the ancient Greek gods was a pictorial specimen of the best cultural and artistic tendencies of the 17th century. To my thinking, the primary purpose is achieved successfully as Versailles and particularly the Hall of Mirrors inspires awe even nowadays no wonder that the hall was often used as a waiting room for visitors because it is a perfect piece to be the face of the court and send word the power and splendor of the King. In this respect, it should be also mentioned that the palace must have elevated the Crown in the eyes of the people of France the suggestive

Personal Statement ExampleTo me, the aspiration of becoming a well-educated person is one of the most monumental and highly valuable objectives a person can seek to achieve. Why is this? As the world becomes more standardised, in which cultural and professional set be becoming rather universally-accepted norms, businesses (and communities) require the input of individuals who are driven to think uniquely, outside of the proverbial box, as a means of eliciting positive change. I am reminded of a term once taught in one of my foundational classes known as groupthink, a form of psychological and sociological phenomenon where the inherent desire to conform to the beliefs and values of group members leads to dysfunctional decision-making outcomes. In the business environment, as a wide variety of empirical studies continue to iterate, this phenomenon is often detrimental to developing innovations and strategies that are authoritative for achieving competitive advantages. It is through university education, as well as a product of being exposed to diverse and unique educational professionals, one learns to think abstractly and consider both life and career from multiple perspectives rather than being too conventional. My father, a person who I greatly admire, is a skilled and see business professional. I remember many evenings, whilst discussing his workday around a hearty family meal, where he had grown frustrated and, seemingly, a bit aggravated at the lack of ingenuity and resourcefulness from the people of which he was charged to manage and lead. My father rather regularly defended that these weaknesses were oppressive for the business in achieving its main goals and as a result it was quite difficult to introduce vital changes that served to make the business more successful in what was a very competitive and elastic market environment. My primary understanding of real-world

Coursework for Quantitative Methods - Essay ExampleThe competitive markets will equalize the legal injury of a similar good in the two countries when wrongs argon expressed in similar currencies. For instance, a certain Television Set priced at 750 Dollars in Canada should cost 500 Dollars in United States when the exchange rate between the two countries is 1.50.Economists use two purchasing Power Parity versions Relative Purchasing Power Parity and Absolute Purchasing Power Parity. Absolute PPP is when the price level across countries is equalized. For instance, the exchange rate of Canada and US is computed by dividing the price level of Canada by that of the US. Assuming the exchange rate is 1.3 CAD per USD from 1.5 CAD per USD today. PPP theory implies the Canadian dollar will appreciate as USD depreciated. The congenator Purchasing Power Parity refers to the degree of changes in the price level commonly known as the inflation rate. It says that appreciation rate of a silver is similar to the difference in the rate of inflation between the home and the foreign country. Assuming the inflation rate for Canada and US are 1% and 3% respectively, The US currency will depreciate against the Canada Dollar by 2% annually. Relative PPP withstands when the difference in inflation is very large. The concept is related to effect of trade and market arbitrage on the prices of similar products exchanged in multiple markets. In markets that are efficient, there must be a single price of those commodities in respective of their trading areas. The law of one price is also applicable to factor market. However, since the costs of the transaction and transport are positive, the law needs reformulation when applicable to spatial trade. Assuming we have two markets (Liverpool and Chicago) trading straw and the wheat are transported from Chicago to Liverpool. The difference in the prices of wheat between the two markets should be similar to the cost of the transaction

Education is not Ingesting Encapsulated Information Essay

Education is not Ingesting Encapsulated Information - Essay ExampleIn this context, the article, Why Americas Universities are Better Than its Schools, by E D Hirsh Jr. becomes significant to the US education system in the present day. The author contends that the K-12 system suffers due to the reason that intellectual orthodoxy controls it whereas public colleges and universities, which are kick from the control of educationist point of view are functioning better, which is a fact that international community acknowledges (Hirsch 144). My own experience as a disciple makes me see what the author means. I have encountered several situations when my sense of curiosity has often been dampened by a cold stare from my tutor who wants me just to vignette what is being taught in the class. The author chooses a topic which gains high significance in the present day society. Our country boasts of development in all facets of brio but, unfortunately, we ignore some of the crucial factors, which can jeopardize the future of upcoming generations. Education is a key element in a persons life and to groom our children into responsible citizens, we must provide them with appropriate learning facilities and environment. Hirsch, through this article, strikes home this point with clarity, precision and impact. Relevance of the topic aside, more beta is the manner in which he accomplishes this mission. He wastes no time or effort in foreshadowing the subject matter and takes a straightforward plunge into the core of it. The simplicity, directness and panache with which he does this draw the reader immediately into the heart of the problem. The author deploys with deftness, the device of rhetoric in the article, for the purpose of persuading his audience and conveys the message strongly to convince them. In the outset, Hirsch states the problem with the K-12 system due to its being controlled by orthodox philosophy and contrasts it with the university education system whic h eschews the educationalist approach and has have international acclaim. The author, then, explains that it is easier to create a good K-12 system than a good university system as can be evidenced from the fact that even low developed countries have good public schools (Hirsch 144 space-reflection symmetry 2). Referring to the American tradition of free speech and consequent toleration, the author emphasizes on the significance of hand discussion and iconoclasm in providing an environment where intellectual excellence can flourish, which the school systems seem to miss (Hirsch 144 Para 3). Besides, according to him, the elements of openness and competitiveness fork colleges and universities, and they place great value on depth, breadth and accuracy of knowledge and independence of thought, which are the key ingredients of objective learning that schools lack (Hirsch 144 Para 4). Moreover, Hirsch believes that schools rely on banking theory of schooling based on rote learning, which deprives them of quality. The author draws attention to the steep decline by 75% in the round of students in college entrance tests who score above 650 in verbal and math. This figure acts as the pointer to the deterioration in the quality of school education. He makes some other allusion to the high percentage of foreign students coming to US and quotes the

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION - Assignment ExampleAfter the antennas have been excited by these currents, they start radiating radio waves. Transmitters are additionally utilized for the purposes of broadcasting and are vital equipments of communication that utilizes radio technologies (Rider, 2008). This includes equipment like cell ph wizards, Bluetooth on with computer networks that utilize wireless technology. Transmitters are usually special(a) to use in equipments that are used for generating radio waves for the purpose of enabling communication (Uhrig, 2006). There are mainly three types of transmitters which are the beltpack, plug-in and handheld transmitters. The inclination of beltpack transmitters shows that they should be placed on the users body and is normally used with the help of a microphone situated outside the electronic device. They furnish a lot of power to the electronic devices using batteries located on their inside (Brunetti, 2009). The plug-in type of tr ansmitter on the other hand is made so that it can be inserted into standard dynamic microphones through their connectors. The plug-in transmitters are commonly utilized by television crews that are carrying out activities in the field. Lastly, the handheld transmitters unite microphone elements along with transmitters that have been built into one assembly line. The transmitters are commonly used in devices that will be utilized by vocalists or speakers who prefer holding onto a microphone as they communicate (Poole, 2011). Question Two What Are Oscillator Circuits And Which Oscillator Have Been Used In The Transmitter? Oscillator circuits are electronic circuits that usually produce repetitive electronic signals which are referred to as sine or square waves. The types of signals that are generated using these oscillator circuits are broadcasted using radio along with television transmitters. The main trait of an oscillator is the frequency of its outfit signal (Elliot, 2011). In verters are good examples of oscillators that are utilized for the purpose producing high powered alternate currents (AC) output from direct current (DC) supplies. There are various types of oscillators that have been utilized in transmitters which are namely the tuned-plate, tuned-grid, Hartley, colpitts, negative transconductance and electron-coupled oscillators (Rider, 2008). The oscillator used in the transmitter is the tuned-plate one and has been preferred because it has the ability of being directly earthed without having the need of directly using a blocking capacitor. It has also been used because in helps in maintaining the amplitudes of the oscillations over a certain tunable range (Elliot, 2011). Through its mechanisms of tight coupling along with maintaining very low values for its mutual inductance it is able to maintain stability in the frequencies that are being transmitted (Uhrig, 2006). Question Three What Are Filter Circuits And What Are The Purposes Of Using It I n The Receiver? Filter circuits are circuits that have been knowing for the purpose of performing the task of selecting and filtering a single or a frequency particular range from a mix of frequencies that may be rear within a particular circuit (Brunetti, 2009). They are normally used in high performance receivers in case a series of frequencies aim amplification or suppression for production of quality sound or improving the efficiency of power. They are also used for the purpose of gibeing voltage waveforms that are non-sinusoidal in various power circuits located in the receivers (Rider, 2008). Due to the sensitivity of an electronic device to harmonics, there is a great need to condition the power entering the device to ensure

Choice of operating system Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Choice of operating system - Case Study ExampleStarting with Windows NT Build 1 and Windows 3.1, it has now progressed to Windows Vista last Edition and Windows NT Build 6. The decision to use and adhere to Microsoft operating systems, whether on the corporate network or individual, non-networked computers, was mostly predicated on the fact that the popularity of the product implied that the bulk of software manufacturers designed their own products for compatibility with Microsoft. In other words, the decision was not one which was consciously made by the ICT department on the basis of the timberland superiority, or cost effectiveness, of the operating systems in question but was imposed upon it by Microsofts domination of the market. The advent of the Internet and the companys subsequent adoption of e-business and e-commerce tools, not to book of facts increased office automation and computerization, necessitated the purchase and operation of a mainframe server. Again, choice of mainframe operating systems was determined by the range of third-party products available. Microsoft proved its potence once again, leading to the adoption of Windows Server 2000. At present, the mainframe OS is Windows Server 2003 R2.At the present time, the company has 56 laptops and PCs running Windows Vista eventual(prenominal) Edition, 104 netwo... 3Evaluation of Windows OSWindows operating systems are hardly the optimal choice for any organization. Tanenbaum (2001) and Tanenbaum and Woodhull (2006) explain that no operating systems have as such(prenominal) warranter vulnerabilities as do Windows OSs. Security vulnerabilities, a significant problem in themselves, are only complicated by the fact that Microsoft releases far fewer patches than required. Compounded by the widespread popular use of Windows OSs, security is a significant problem as hackers are, seemingly, singularly evoted to compromising systems which run a Windows OS (Tanenbaum, 2001 Tanenbaum and Woodhull, 2 006).Not only are Windows operating systems replete with security vulnerabilities but, they are also costly. The implementation of a Windows operating system together with the related security software, costs organizations several thousand dollars, often running into high four or, possibly, five figure sums (Silberschatz et al., 2004). It is, in comparison to Linux OS, extremely costly. Furthermore, consequent to its domination of the market, largely evidenced in the fact that the majority of third-party software is designed for operation in a Windows environment, Microsoft is engaged in the continued increasing of OS prices, instead than their decrease, as per market demand (Silberschatz et al., 2004). The ICT Director confirmed the academic literature findings cited in the preceding, conceding that Windows operating systems were often a security nightmare and, in comparison to other OSs, quite costly. Mac OS X and Linux were, in his opinion, much better than Windows. Their securi ty vulnerabilities were

Of Mice and Men Discuss in detail the lives of the itinerant ranch-hands in the novel Essay Example for Free

Of Mice and Men Discuss in detail the leads of the itinerant ranch-hands in the novel EssayDiscuss in detail the lives of the itinerant ranch-hands in the novel. Why is the dream farm so important to the novel?Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is an emotional novel, set in the 1930s, where two friends try to achieve their dream in the cruel time of the great depression in California, America. The smother Street crash was a massive set back in American industries, work was made very limited, so the men had to travel from line of reasoning to job, to make a living. Lennie Small and George Milton analogous many men during this unprofitable time in the American economy roam from job to job. Men like these are called itinerant. As George stated, Guys like us that work on ranches are the loneliest guys in the world. This statement is true because these men n eer have a focalize called home, because they are incessantly on the move. This also means they have no time to develop a family or friends. Real friendships are hard to precipitate by, because nearly of the men that work on these ranches are secretive and try to keep their pasts private in case they reveal something that could arse about them canned (sacked). marrow if they cant reveal their history because of fear, they will never be able to make true friends. On the ranch George and Lennie spend most of their spare time in the bunk house. Many of the men dont socialize they just keep themselves private, this also combines with the lack of woman company to create a lonely airwave on the ranch. Also the men are caught up in a never ending cycle of doing a months physical labour and spending most of their earnings releasing all their frustration at whore houses. So many men come to these ranches with this idea that they will work for a friction match of months, save up money and get their own little piece of cut back just end up blowing all their money on revel and prostitutes. As Crooks said, I seen hunderds of men come by on the road an on the ranches, Hunderds of them an every damn one of ems got a little piece of land in his head. An never a God damn one of em ever gets it. From this you can see how common it was for men just like George and Lennie to numerate on this dream, to give them this false hope that they might just circumvent this lifestyle one day. Crooks is so mocking of this dream farm because since he has never seen a man accomplish this feat, he doubts whether a man has enough determination to ever achieve it.In addition, ranch hands that are likewise old get canned. This makes Candy on edge because he feels that because he is seen as useless on the ranch since of the loss of his hand, his job is becoming to a greater extent and more insecure the older he gets.On the ranch a lot of violence is shown to Crooks just because of the tint of his skin. The ranch hands also bring low Crooks by making him sleep with the horses.George and Lennie are unlike m ost ranch hands as they travel together which is most unusual among ranch workers. As George says, I seen the guys that go around on the ranches alone. That aint no good. They dont have fun. From this you can tell that they have, unlike other ranch hands, someone they can confide in. This gives them a strength that the other men do not have.It is obvious that the dream farm means a lot to George and Lennie because it gives them some hope that they might escape this endless lifestyle. Also if they lived on their own ranch they would be free to do as they please and not listen to no one else but themselves. The farm symbolises freedom to George and Lennie, as they would be able to choose when they would like to work and who they wanted to employ, An live on the fatta the lan. Also it would be their own craw they are harvesting, not someone elses. So it would be all their own profit. This idea of freedom appeals to Crooks and Candy because both of them are alienated on the ranch, Croo ks because of the colour of his skin and Candy because of his age and disability. They see the dream farm as a chance to be equal workers. The dream farm is similar to the American Dream because the American Dream is people living by their own rules to get what they want in life. The farm is a perfect example of this because George and Lennie would live by their own rules to earn a living.Curleys wife had her vision of the American Dream. Hers was to be a Hollywood star, to be in the movies. This, whilst being an appealing and exciting life, isnt what the dream was about. The life she wanted would not be lived by her rules, she would have had to work to deadlines and always under threat from other actresses taking her job.Unfortunately George and Lennie cannot grok their dream because of Lennies ability to get himself into bad situations. Unluckily for Lennie this time it proved to be fatal for him. You cant keep a job and you lose me ever job I get. Jus keep me shovin all over the country all the time. An that aint the worst. You get in trouble. You do bad things and I got to get you out. Lennie, as George states has always preventing him from advancing upwards in the world, because he has always been too much of a responsibility for George who can never have faith that Lennie wont get in trouble again.

Animal Testing Essay Example for Free

puppet Testing EssayIn this topic, I entrust show animal exam. Animal analyzeing is a image of our everyday life. Do you know that many of the growths around us and mapping everyday are still mental testinged on animals? However, many people recoil about using animals testing, and they argue animals baffle life right. People produce a young medicine or cosmetics. But the new product drives to be tested what will affect gays. If the new product wont be tested on animals, who will volunteer for new product testing? I think nonexistence wants to do it. Animal testing saves our lives. Animal testing is necessary for many reasons.A lot of animals are used for experimentation every year. For example white mice, dog, rabies, and monkey. Without them we dont know if a product is uninjured to use or not. Animal testing is important because it provides an excellent insight into the manifold interactions within a biological system that no existing alternative can provide. Humans and animals a give care share many of the same basic biological processes and interaction (Jason,1996). We need to understand animal testing it is helpful to be aware of different kinds of research conducted on animals and engage in testing. The story Animal Experimentation Is Ethical by Derbyshire, he agrees animal experimentation is necessary. He says the best hopes to treat or cure any number of diseases all desire on current animal experiments(Derbyshire, 2006 pg 11). Animal testing improves our condomty and increases our knowledge of nature and can therefore increase the possibilities for tender action, advancing the cause of human freedom. Also, his consensus has formed regarding the three Rs refinement, reduction, and replacement are defined. The three Rs is importance and advantages of alternatives to animal testing methods are mentioned. Successful promotion of animal research can yet begin when we withdraw support for the three Rs.On the other hand in the story A nimal Have Rights by Tom Regan, the author argues that non-human animals have the same rights as humans do because animal are similar rational and emotional beings. He contends that viewing animals as inferior constitutes specialism, a disadvantage similar to sexism and racism. Furthermore, he claims that treating animals equally fosters individual growth and helps society become more compassionate. Regan (1997) says using animals for testing is a wrong authority. It is wrong to treat weaker human beings, especially those who are lacking in normal human intelligence, as tools or renewable resources or models or commodities. It cannot be right, therefore, to treat other animals as if they were tools, models and the kindred (Regan,1997 pg 21).Animal testing is a part of everyday life. From the shampoos and conditioners that consumers buy to medicines that patients receive, many everyday products are tested on animals. Hampton (2010) says the new products testing is expiration be tween humans and animals. Companies test the new products on animal protect people safety people can buy the safe products and couldnt wound them. Companies test on animals to jibe their products are safe not just for profit (Hampton,2010).Animal testing has advanced human welfare and animal testing is necessary. Ranganatha (2012) selective information is given about the institutions researching alternatives to animal testing and resources available to assist in searching for alternatives are listed. Ethical considerations on the alternative methods are also discussed. It is cogitate that much greater effort should be put into overcoming the barriers to the acceptance of replacement alternatives which currently limit the contributions they have to make toward greater humanity and better biomedical science (Ranganatha, 2012).Animal testing can help save human lives. Some animal testing is done to promote a product or to understand the effects of those products. Anonymous (2012) w ithout animal testing first, nobody know whether it is safe for someone to take a new drug or use an improved anesthetic. Researchers may start to use the small flies, if the products havent happen wrong thing, then move up to mice or rabbits and then up to animals much like ourselves. The new products are safety they might test on human volunteers sieve it, and see the side result. The new products havent killed any animals or people yet, they will sell the new products to the market (Anonmous, 2012). PIR Partners Research (2008) Consumers demand and have a right to expect that the products they depend upon are safe if used properly. They also need reassurance that physicians can save victims in case of accident. Currently, the only way to guarantee these protections is through knowledge gained from animal testing( PIR Partners Research, 2008 pg 33). Animal testing is a good way to protect consumers able to use these new products to help them with their illness and even save some of their lives.Without animal testing we dont know if a product is safe to use or not . PIR Partners Research (2008) animal testing has helped people using safe products of the important ways. For example the company produce the baby sustenance and victims, before the use animal testing and the researcher to resolve the problem that might be caused by a drug or product. It is the first test step. The results were sometimes tragic. The researcher would make sure the products is safe. Many parent hope and have right to expect that the product that they believe on are safe if used properly. Today the only way to guarantee these protection is through knowledge gained from animal testing. ( PIR Partners Research, 2008). Animal experimentation is necessary to ensure product safety. The authorities requires that the new drugs be tested on animals before sale to market. On the other hand, the computer testing cannot substitute for animal testing . George Poste suggests (2006) although pre sent-day engine room cannot yet replace many types of animal research, the research community is committed to finding new ways to reduce and replace animal testing. This ethical dedication is embodied in strict animal welfare protocols at most university, government and industrial laboratories(Poste,2006). Today animal testing is only because of animal experimentation. If the new drugs are only test in a computer lad, who is first able to use them? Kyle(2007) lab animals are also used to help maneuver doctors and veterinarians to be able to practice doing operations before doing the operation on a person. All of these tests work because, according to the BBC website there are No differences between lab animal and humans that cant be factored into tests. (Kyle, 2007).Many of the people who oppose animal testing believe that replacement should be used in these test. If the new product wont be tested on animals, who will volunteer for new product testing. Naik (2011) if some of peo ple oppose animal testing, who would like to volunteer for new products testing. I think nobody wants to do it. The people who against it and say is unjust for animals, also they say animals are equal to people. If the company produces a new medicine or cosmetic. Researchers dont test on animal at the first, they look for some volunteers to test on the new products. I think nobody wants to test at the first. (Nail, 2011).Many people suggest new products test on Syrian hamster embryos(SHE). On the other hand, Partners Research (2008) computer data banks bequeath for the reduction of test duplication. They are also useful in the initial evaluation of chemicals slated for further study unsuitable chemicals can be eliminated from consideration former to the institution of animal testing. But computers can only process and store existing knowledge, much of which has come from animal studies. Animal testing is needed to balloon that knowledge base (Partners Research, 2008). Animal test ing cannot separate with new technology, too.People produce a new medicine or cosmetics. But the new product have to be test for what will affect for humans. Kyle (2007) says that animal testing is a well regulated method to improve the safety of products and to help crack life saving medicines, for which there are no alternatives. This is currently the only way to test many products and must continue to be used to ensure our safety (Kyle,2007). Researchers want to discover the products information. The information is collected and used to make assumptions about how the products will work on humans and how the products might affect humans. In conclusion, animal testing based on scientific result, it is given us a lot of safe products. The scientific community has been successful in cut down the number of animals used in safety testing, as well as in refining test methods to reduce any pain or disoblige these animals may experience. The new medicine or cosmetics are always tested o n animals first. The new products if safe might be tested on people, try it and see the result. Today, many companies use animal and lab computers to test new products. However, animal testing would find out more detail information and dont hurt people. Animal testing is safe for our live. This is currently the only way to test many products and must continue to be used to ensure our safety.

The Village Essay Example for Free

The Village EssayThe Village is a film about a village where the people quarter it in fear of creatures living in the woods beyond them. It is explained that the villagers have a truce with, as they call them, Those We Dont Speak Of, where the villagers do not enter their woods, and the creatures do not enter the Villagers. M. Night Shyamalan illustrates a small society in The Village, of people who are free and protected with the fear of violence, and an imperfect community. To ensure their village is innocent, the elders made sure their children and grandchildren would be protected from violence and greed. By assuring this, the elders made up the creatures and told stories and tales of those killed and harmed by them to make them fear leaving.According to them, the color red was forbidden because it would attract the creatures and bring them into their part of the woods. If anyone was to enter Covington Woods, which was alone granted by permission, they would have to wear yellow. The elders and villagers had to sacrifice knowledge of modern resources and medicine. An oath was made years ago in the village that soon was broken when few were told about the make believe creatures. legion(predicate) of the villagers were affected by the lack of medicine, which caused Noah Percy, who had a mental illness die and Ivy Walker to go into Covington Woods. The villagers believe the creatures will harm them if someone passes the boundaries, although the elders only believe they could be harmed by exposure to the modern world.
